There is this really cool group that basically enjoys giving crap away at Dragon Con.

Some people give things away in person, some hide things around the con. Some match their swag to their cosplay, some only hand out to people cosplaying as a certain character.

The swag ranges from stickers to the kind of small toys you might give to trick-or-treaters at Halloween to t-shirts to a range of hand crafted items. The variety of hand crafted items is amazing, as is the creativity and skill of some of the members.

The main organization of the group is through a Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/DragonConSwagNseek/). It is one of the most positive and supportive groups I’ve been a part of. There is also a hashtag for the group: #DragonConSwagNSeek .

Many people label their swag – so people know that it’s not lost or trash. And also so finders can share pictures, or learn about the group.

My problem is that I got super excited about this group, but now it’s less than a week from Dragon Con and I’m not ready! I bought stuff to hand out and I bought craft supplies, and I made lots of plans to make crafts… and I have nothing ready.

As of now, I don’t have anything put together, or labeled, or in general ready to give away. I don’t even know which boughten things I’m going to bring. (And do I have things I can hide/give away individually? Or do I put together little grab bags? What kind of bags would I use? What kind of labels should I use? How should I attach them? What should I put on the labels? How much do I have room for in my suitcase? Why am I writing this instead of getting ready for Dragon Con?)
